RYA Day Skipper

Shore Based Course 2008

 Clevedon Sailing Club offers a fast-track theory course, taking place on Saturdays over consecutive weekends in February and March 2008. The ‘Day Skipper’ shore-based course run by qualified RYA instructor Stuart Scarborough is aimed at sailors who wish to acquire navigation and seamanship qualifications which complement the RYA’s practical sailing schemes. Successful completion of six days of classroom sessions and the relevant exams will lead to the official RYA ‘Day Skipper’ shore-based qualification.

 This an all-day course running for six days over six Saturdays from

February 2nd to March 15th

 The course will be held at Clevedon Sailing Club and the fee includes membership of the Sailing Club. Students will be entitled to use the social and sailing facilities within the Club Rules.

The class can accommodate approximately eight students. A number of vacancies are available for this special intensive course. Successful candidates will be eligible to apply for the Day Skipper Practical courses and Coastal Skipper shore-based courses planned for later in the year.
